Tanu-chan Letters handles information only to deliver letters safely. There are no ads. Data is never sold or passed to anyone outside.
About letter contents
Letters may contain sensitive personal information about mind and body. Every letter is reviewed by our internal team only, for safety. Nothing is ever shared externally. Every time the team opens a thread, a permanent record of that access is kept.
What we record for safety
To make suspensions meaningful, we record device information: a hashed form of the IP address (the IP address itself is never stored), the browser type, and a hash built from coarse device traits. These are used only to enforce suspensions. We never ask people writing letters for a name or an email address.
How long letters are kept
Twelve months after an exchange closes, its letters are permanently deleted.
